The Faith Sisters Benefit 2022

September 24, 2022 We had a Fun Run with the motorcycle Riders heading out at noon and returning at 5:30

This year we were excited to have several people who came to attend and donate. Cassie Jones, our Vice President did almost all the ground work and arranged for the place and times.

Phyllis Straight , one of our directors , blessed us with her presence and helped with the auction.  Once again we brought in enough to make a difference in the Keokuk, Iowa area , where the need is great, as much of this country is at this time.

Thanks everyone who donated and blessed others with your big heart!

This year I was asked to help with the kitchen and cook meals for the First Baptist Churches Awanas and was thrilled to step up and cook for this community I have become part of.  We had twice baked spagetti, sloppy joes and brownie, of course some pears if they wanted some.

Everything went over well for our first tryout and all love the brownies except one teen who thought they were to chocolatie .  Is that Possible?  Just speaking from a woman's point of view. Most wanted many more and told them I would make more for next week.

When we grew up everything was centered around the kitchen, people came to visit we fed them, so this reminds me of Grandma. What a sweet memory . She used to leave the door unlocked if they went to town and always had something like cookies on the counter with a note ," please help yourself". Grandma had survived the depression when many were traveling and had nothing to eat, so she was paying - it - forward.  Guess thats where I get it from

Have a great day and fix something for someone else to enjoy and see if it doesn't make your heart sing too.

Back To School

It's that time of the year  when the grass starts to dry out and the children are excited to start back to school. Satan has done a real job on churches and schools this year trying to keep them shut down, but we serve a Might God who has a plan for us to excel at what we put our hand too.

Don't be discouraged, smile and shine some of that Glory Light God shines in you thru the Holy Spirit and that will brighten others days too.

Let's keep our oil in our lanterns shining brightly for the Kings return.!

Fall is coming soon

I can't believe how quickly this year has passed by. I'm encouraged each day by God's Favor ! We have had many come  to visit us this year and we have enjoyed the time well spent with family and friends.

I have been doing book signing down in Branson, Missouri at T-Charlestons Book and Gift Store. Liz and her staff are very nice and always helpful.

Hope this year has been a good one for all of you and if you need prayer please contact us at:

Spring is in the Air

This winter has been bitter and we have broken records by 11 degrees for the cold. Burr. Now the sun is shining today and the weather in the lower 60's, and what a warm welcome. I trust you have all made it through the winter in one piece as they say.

I'm excited to be doing a study on my latest book, "Eyes To See and Ears To Hear" live on Facebook with Kaye McBride on her book club site starting on April 8th. This will be a new one for me. I have taught study before but not online like this. Kaye will be hosting with me and how excited we are to share the amazing ways God speaks to us and how Angels walk among us all the time, helping assist us.

If you want more information on this please contact me at :

Have a blessed spring and of course Easter is just around the corner. How blessed we are to have a God that would have sent us a Kinsman Redeemer thru Christ Jesus !

This winter has been a real Arctic Blast for much of the country. I hope you are all staying in when you can and safe and well fed.

This morning our kitchen had hot water but the cold was not working. Thank goodness i still have my Chi Hair Dryer from my beauty salon days that blows hot and with its help the water is now working.

Living in Arizona for so many years has spoiled us. We haven't seen this kind of weather since 1993 and that was a year to be remembered too.

Keep all the little animals in a safe warm place and know this too will pass, thank goodness.

I'm excited to have Bessie and her mom Ruby to come and paint rocks with inspiring words to encourage others. Its great to place in their pockets and when they feel overwhelmed or down, they pull it out and read what's on the stone.

It's time again to be reminded of all we have to be grateful for. If you have survived 2020 and you are still in one piece, then you have something to be grateful for.

My husband and I  have our 28th anniversary on Nov. 21st, which is tomorrow and we have much to be thankful for. We both have our health and God has blessed us in a lovely home that allows us to be warm and fed. How nice is that.

I pray that you and your families have weathered the storm of 2020 ; and that your families have become closer to God and each other.  Many are learning how to go back to the basics of cooking and sewing, playing games together and helping to teach their children and siblings what is really important. So in the midst of this storm I still see God's hand touching lives as He directs us in a different path.

Happy Thanksgiving     Blessings, Mary

Time for Voting

It's almost November 3rd and time again to vote for a president to run this country. I encourage each of you to vote for the president that goes with God's values.   I pray all are well and blessings for each of you.

God's a Healer

Life has been interesting lately, my husband ended up in the hospital with an obstructed bowel. He had been there for several days and nothing was working even though we had him on the Prayer Warriors List.

On the 3rd day the dr came in and was getting ready to do surgery when we decided to pray one more time before they came to get him  for surgery. I reminded God that we knew He was our maker and healer and we know He is never early so we don't make things about ourselves, as we easily do, but God never comes late. I told God He was almost to be late so if He could see it in His grace to loose this blockage and make Lou's intestines to work properly we would praise Him.

Just as we finished the prayer, Lou's stomach started growling and he rushed to the bathroom just in time. We almost did the happy dance as they say, and of course we praised God for His intervention. The nurse and dr were very surprised when they came back in and I told them what happened. What an exciting day!

I was reminded of Daniel when he prayed God heard him that very day, but it took 2 weeks for the Angels to be able to fight thru the Satanic forces to come to his rescue. We had been praying for 6 days for this issue to be healed; and we know beyond a shadow of doubt we serve a healing God, but at the very end God stepped thru and made all the difference so Lou did not have to have surgery ! Praise God in all you do !

We fight not against flesh and blood but against the principalities of the dark places.  Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy, Jesus came that we might have lift and have it more abundantly.  Have a blessed day !

2020 Barbara Downing Memorial Scholarship

This  last week I was excited to present the Barbara Downing Memorial Scholarship to Isabel Vandenberg from Keokuk, IA.

This year has been one of struggles with social distancing , but she was able to come to Cassie's home during a book signing and receive her check of Five Hundred Dollars and Award.  We wish you the very best God has to offer Isabel.

Summer May Be Here.

It seems we have made it to the last of May. I hope all of you are doing well and learning the new norm as God blesses us with health and friends, reaching out to our communities and getting back to work.

I just finished my last book, "Eyes to See and Ears to Hear" which is out in stores, online and anywhere you look. Of course you can acquire a signed one from us at this site and when you do all proceeds go directly to the outreaches. I hope you are blessed by getting one which will inspire you to see what God is doing in your life and how many Angels may have touched your life and you not known.

Last but certainly not least is how God speaks to us. How we hear from the Word of course but also from the Holy Spirit and learning to hear when He speaks to us..

Happy Memorial Weekend and we honor all those who have paid so much for our freedom.

Spring is in the Air

This seems to have been a very cold winter to me, although others think not. I heard the wood pecker working away on a tree the other day as I was working out in my flower garden. Also saw five or six robins right next to me in the yard enjoying the worms and bugs from the last rain, and boy have we had rain this spring.

I trust all is well with you and if you have prayer requests, remember we do have a Prayer Warriors Team who are wonderful at praying for you and your needs. Just email me at : and I will get those prayer requests on the list as you expect wonderful results, relying on our God.

Have you ever stopped and thought of how quickly things go? Look at our lives, well I'm a great grandmother, so you can imagine how fast it seems to fly by for me.  Just think in your life time again, what age you will be !  I will be walking the streets of gold with my Lord Jesus, how exciting-- a win win situation.

I know its been a month since I have written in the blog, sorry about that.  We have been in the middle of a move!

You want to hear how awesome God is ? I knew you did !  so I will share.

Prayer is Like Oxygen

Prayer is like oxygen to our prayer lives.

It provides the wind in our sails to propel everything we don't as believers.

It's the unseen key to the success of every person and ministry.

We were designed to be dependent on God, lets pray He sends the wind to propel our lives in the right direction with Him at the helm.

Have a blessed day, Mary

Rain comes and the old saying is, "When you see the rainbow, you know the storm is over."

This saying must come from when God promised to never destroy the earth again; He sent the rainbow in the sky as His sign to us.

I look forward to seeing the rainbow and even hunt for it as the storms are subsiding. Knowing God paints His handiwork in the sky for all to see is consoling.

This comforts me each time I find one, and I thank God for the sign He sprays across the skies. Sometimes He even gives us a…

Each Moment Counts

It comes to me each day as I wake up and sit in the bed.

I am still here and have not been called home with my Lord.

What does this mean to me?

How am I going to make each moment count today and who is the Lord going to place

in my path today.

Will they teach and encourage me or will I encourage them?

Questions come to mind as I welcome the Holy Spirit in my life to lead me today.

Great Guests

Our week was blessed with friends visiting for a couple days.

This delightful couple are  Missionaries to Mexico. We were amazed by all the things we learned about them and their travels.

It takes a special kind of person to be willing to travel out of the country where it is possibly unstable, but yet still goes because they have the calling from God.

Whenever you have the opportunity to host someone, think about what a great blessing you will be to those traveling.

Last week I was  blessed by my aunt…

I have been attending a women's study on Tuesdays and I am blessed  by the women's hearts to share their lives.

We are studying about how our brokenness allows us to see how much God paid the price for us to come to Him.

How precious each and everyone of us are to God to send His Son to pay for our sins.

Smile, someone paid it all for you, and it was because of God's Mercy we can receive this free gift.

Nov 3 .2022

Well time has come for another adventure in our lives. We have sold our home and have bought a motorhome and are on the road for the Lord. We prayed about it and in the fall season of our lives, we should be out enjoying the beautiful things God has made in this wonderful country and share the love of Jesus our Lord as we go.

So, we are now in Livingston , TX. and will see what God has instore for us in this quaint little town. People are cordial and the air is fresh with the trees standing tall around us. Our neighbors in the rv park have sweet countenances and I shared my book, "On Fire For God" with them.

I'll keep you posted as to our adventures. We covet your prayers for God's will and safety as we travel and touch lives. Thanks everyone.   If you want to reach out to me here is my email:
